QLD Government Solar Water Heater Rebate

The newly announced QLD Government Solar Hot Water rebate program provides an incentive for QLD households to harness some of the free energy the ‘Sunshine State’ has to offer. Effective for purchases on or after 13 April, 2010, households that replace an existing electric water heater with a Solar or Heat Pump water heater may be entitled to receive a $600 rebate. The news is even better for valid concession card holders who may be eligible for a $1000 rebate.

This provides households the opportunity to reduce their electricity bills, and lower their greenhouse gas emissions at the same time.
